​Friendly Group Travel was started by Marcia Simon in 2018 after she became an empty nester and, being self-employed, realized that with her Macbook Pro and mobile phone, she could work remotely from anywhere. This was the time to follow her travel passion that started with a Eurail Train Pass and a best friend the summer after graduating high school decades earlier. With a background in journalism and then public relations/promotion, Marcia is known as an obsessive researcher, finding the best sources for expert advice and insights into areas of special interest and authenticity. Through Friendly Group Travel she continues to seek and promote experiences that excite the senses while protecting the environment, honoring sustainability, and creating feelings of wellness and wonder.
